I‘m a winemaker and oenologist by day and a woodworking enthusiast by night. My studio b journey began as an accident while I was searching for wine bottle stoppers that would complement my wine offerings at blind-tasting events on markets.
That's when I stumbled upon my grandfather's vintage woodturning machine—a relic from the past, just waiting to be rediscovered in my father’s basement. With my father's guidance who actually intended the craftman school, I learned step by step the lost art of woodturning. Soon enough, I was creating my first bottle stopper pieces that I sold with huge success at my next market.
Inspired by the overwhelmingly positive response, my father decided to invest in a new woodturning machine because secretly, he always wanted one himself. I was eager to refine my craft and expand my creative horizons. Since that pivotal moment in 2022, when I first introduced my bottle stopppers, I have evolved to include new hand-made products—elegant bottle openers and stunning glass coasters, all lovingly crafted in my father‘s basement workshop.
However I also want to honor the tradition of woodturning. It's a skill that demands practice, patience, and a touch of artistry. By fusing this ancient craft with sustainable practices and forward-thinking designs, I try to bring to life a collection that defies trends and celebrates the timeless appeal of handcrafted wooden objects.
